The SBTi partners with the United Nations Global Compact, the Committee for Development Policy (CDP), the We Mean Business Coalition, the World Resources Institute (WRI), and the World Wildlife Fund (WWF), to develop standards, tools, and guidance for setting reduction targets based on science.

PeoplePath does not run any machinery or combustion engines. Therefore, we do not have scope 1 emissions.

We will keep our scope 1 emissions at zero.
Scope 2
What we’ve achieved
Since 2019, we have reduced our Scope 2 emissions by 25%. We switched to using 100% renewable energy in all offices.
What we’re doing next
We will constantly check for more opportunities to lower scope 2 emissions.
Scope 3
What we’ve achieved
Since 2022, we migrated our cloud hosting to green servers, saving 25% on our scope 3 emissions.
What we’re doing next
We plan a Code of Conduct for people to choose eco-friendly travel options and suppliers, reducing our footprint by another 25%.
What We Calculate
We calculate carbon emissions for Scope 1, 2 and 3, to get the full picture of our Corporate Carbon Footprint. We report our annual progress in emission reduction to authorities like SBTi to document our progress and hold ourselves accountable for the long-term goals we set.

How We Calculate
In 2019 and 2020 we calculated our Corporate Carbon Footprint with Planetly (sold to OneTrust).
From 2021 to 2023 we have worked with Plan A (sold to Diginex). They created the first carbon management and ESG platform audited and certified by TÜV Rheinland, using accredited methodologies to calculate emissions based on the latest scientifically accepted carbon emission factors.
Since 2024, we use the carbon accounting tools provided by SME Climate Hub, measuring our carbon emission in accordance with the GHG Protocol Standards.
Note: We don’t purchase seals to impress people, since it can be difficult to verify their credibility. We would rather invest in accredited emission reduction and removal projects.
